Sometimes I just need a break. So I am taking one. No poker for a while. I’m actually feeling good about it and it lets me get my head back around why I like to play so much.
I am also deeply involved with about three other projects at the moment. While I am not at liberty to discuss them, I am very excited about them. I am hoping sometime in the near future I can share them with you.
I can mention that I am working again the Poker X Factor’s Bankroll Manager again. It seems I am always tweaking with it. Though currently I am contemplating a complete revamp and update. I might even change it from MySQL to Microsoft SQL based system. Not sure yet.
Hi, I would love to know your suggestions for a host service for blogs (wordpress with studiopress theme). Thanks so much!
Monica
Good news! These days most hosting companies provide the basic needs of hosting a wordpress blog, which are the MySQL database and PHP. So most of it comes down to personal choice as far as all the extra’s go. I tend to stay with bigger hosting companies as they have a staff more likely to answer your questions as well as good backup procedures. I have used http://www.1and1.com as a good starting low cost hosting company, and some of the more robust blogs I work with have moved to http://www.liquideweb.com as their bandwidth and capacity dictated. Things to watch out for as your blog grows in size and popularity are: exceeding bandwidth limitations and server response time growing longer and longer as it gets busier. These are indications that a bump up in server plans is required.
As far as themes go, I like the Thesis Theme. Very flexible and very easy to modify to meet your needs. It’s more a framework then a simple theme.
