After a wonderful vacation in California visiting the In-laws, I have diverted my attention back to getting this blog started. It’s been such a long time since I actually installed Wordpress on my site, I have completely forgotten what the password is. So thus starts the story…

  1. Try every known password that I have ever used in my life…
  2. Hey wait, what was the user name? (ut oh…)
  3. Resigning to the fact I could not get the combination correct, I push the “forgot password” link.
  4. Wait for email.
  5. No email!
  6. Wait more.
  7. Still, no email.
  8. Bet they sent the email to old email adress I don’t use anymore except for SPAM…better go look.
  9. It was there.
  10. Damn! Time limited expired..shouldn’t have waited so long. Try again! Back to step 3 skipping steps 4-7!
  11. Reset password using link.
  12. Log in!
  13. Wordpress now informs me that my software is about ten versions old and I should at least get with this century’s software.
  14. No go through the whole process of downloading software and upload it to my site.
  15. What was my FTP account  and password? …. Utt oh! Better contact my host company…
  16. Who is my web hosting company?
  17. And the process continues.

But as you can now see, I was able to actually update my software and type in this wonderful post.

Needless to say, I didn’t play poker tonight! Maybe tomorrow. ;-)
