I love my job!

OR more accurately, I love what I get to do for a living!

By day I help develop websites and blog pages. Having earned a Computer Engineering Degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point, I am totally capable of building a computer from “The Sand Up”. But I found I had a passion for programming and working with databases. I found myself looking for reasons to build elaborate multifunction Excel spreadsheets, then moved onto Access and eventually graduated to the big leagues of the major database programs. Of course, having all this data means absolutely nothing if you can’t get at it. Thus started the quest for understanding web pages as well as interactive websites. I devoured books on anything I could find web related. I quickly discovered I had a knack to picking up new languages and skill sets quickly.

While I had a normal day job, I found little time to help Jaden on her projects, more specifically I never had the chance to help her work ob her blog Steamy Kitchen. After leaving that post, I have been able to dedicate some serious time programming and updating her website to add some sort of order and uniform”ness” to the whole site. Check it out!

Of course, that’s what led to this blog being released. In essence, it’s a live test bed and is the go between step between my local development set up and her live blog pages. I use it to test proof of concepts as well as general updates on ideas and things going on. I will be posting a lot of wordpress ideas and theme things as I get the chance.

And then by night… I play semi-professional poker. That’s about all I’m going to say about that for now. We’ll leave it as a mysterious part of my life to be explored later!
